Today we did a pilot for a research about ocean noise in the Bali sea. How does the noise of engines effecf the dolphins? What is acceptable, what is damaging? We hope that the research can contribute to sustainable solutions for dolphin watching in Lovina. Sustainable means a good solution based on the 3 P’s: People, Planet and Profit. Many fisherman families are depending on the extra income made out of dolphin watching with tourists, their financial situation needs to be tought of once designing a plan for a more sustainable way of dolphin watching. Only together, with all stakeholders a solution can be made.
