The second week of July (11-16 July 2022) is the orientation period for new students in schools in Bali. During the orientation period, we ran a program for new students.
Westerlaken Foundation collaborated with Bali Kids Foundation, NEBA Foundation and Wildeganzen Foundation to create the HIV/AIDS Awareness program that aims to educate students in understanding and preventing the spread of the HIV virus. The HIV / AIDS Awareness program is a continuous program that will be conducted in schools in Bali to promote awareness and educate students. It is also hoped that through this program, the stigma against people living with HIV can be removed by receiving correct information about the disease. Our team of doctor and nurse will also provide health services to schools and give early education about HIV - AIDS.
The series of activities of this program include health check for students and socialising to promote HIV awareness.
On July 11, 2022 we provided education and health checks at SMPN 3 Marga - Tabanan. Theree are 32 new students who were given education and health checks.
Tuesday, July 12, 2022 we provided educational services and health checks at SMPN 1 Selemadeg Timur - Tabanan. There were 124 new students who were given education and 32 students who received health checks.
Wednesday, July 13, 2022 we held a socialization about HIV/AIDS at SMK Ilkom Ganesha Jimbaran - Badung. The participants of this activity were 23 new students and OSIS members.
Thursday, July 14, 2022 we provide education about HIV/AIDS at SMPN 1 Dawan - Klungkung. The participants of this activity were 231 grade 9 students.
Friday, July 15, 2022 we provide educational services and health checks at SMPN 3 Selemadeg Timur - Tabanan. Where there were 50 new students who were given education and 31 students who received health checks.
Saturday 16 July 2022 we provide education services and health checks at SMPN 4 Pupuan - Tabanan. Where there are 291 students who are given education and 30 students who get health checks.
We continue to move to provide education and health services to schools in Bali. We hope that with this program, students can get correct information about HIV and how to prevent it.
