The kris and tombak that we, Westerlaken foundation, have acquired from a private collection in The Netherlands have safely arrived in Bali. The sheath of the kris is restored.
The return ceremony is planned for April 28, 2020; the 112th remembrance day of Puputan Klungkung. The kris and tombak will be displayed in the Semerapura museum, next to the two earlier rerurned tombaks.
The kris and tombak, alongside with the earlier retutned tombaks, were looted from the palace after the puputan in 1908 and after decades in private collections in The Netherlands will safely return home.
